What a show you and your team put on yesterday!!

In spite of the toasty weather, you guys once again excelled!! Those extra water breaks were a god savoir!! That cold water break was the best idea since sliced bread! I think it saved many of us!! I never thought water could taste that good!!

I would like to express my gratitude to you and your team for organising the event year in year out!!

It has been my fourth time in a row, and I'm looking forward to next year already!!  It is my favourite challenge of the whole year!!

I would also like to mention those orange markers!! They were awesome!! Always, well stationed!! What a spread in the check points!! Lovely food!! Well balanced!! And the jacket potato at the end is definitely the cherry on top of the cake!!

Just wanted to send my huge thanks to you and all involved in yesterday's event.  Without fail everyone was so friendly, encouraging and caring.  The weather was a challenge with the high temperatures and without fail, at every checkpoint, I was asked, 'how are you?', 'are you ok?'. This made me feel so supported and cared for.  The organisation of the day was fantastic and so smooth. The walk was tough but so glad I did it.  I will be back at this great event in the future.

Thanks to you and the team it was ,as before,  a lovely event and well organised. Our only feedback is please can you make the signs a little larger we were walking and found it tricky a few times so I dont know how the runners felt.

Thank you so much for a really wonderful event yesterday. Your volunteers are truly amazing and looked after us really well - we loved the ice pops, coke and head/hat dunking water! The iced water at the water stop was particularly welcome and refreshing too. 

As usual, the food was delicious and plentiful. We especially enjoyed the cakes and water melon. And the meal at the end was fantastic and filling. 

The route afforded its usual wonderful views and we were lucky it was mostly in the shade. 

 

Very well done and your efforts are much appreciated!

Just a quick email to thank you and the team for organising such a wonderful event in difficult hot conditions. We thoroughly enjoyed both the 18 and 26 mile routes, having decided to drop down from the 40 mile route. Regarding the route distances I’m curious why you don’t advertise them as 20 and 29 miles as the GPX files?

 

We’ll definitely enter again, and spread the word amongst our running friends on how good the event is.

Yesterday was the second time I've taken part and I just wanted to thank yourself & all the amazing friendly & helpful volunteers who are involved in the event. 

It really is a well run & well supported day over some beautiful (& hilly) countryside. 

Being able to offer so many routes and so many fantastically stocked check points must be no mean feat. 

The multiple arrows were expectional helpful along with the instructions for those of us without smart watches - it must take an army to put all those out & collect them again. 

You definitely could charge more for entry as it is one of the best value events I've done in a long while. 

Hope yourself & the team managed to raise funds for the scout group & are taking a well deserved day off after all your work.

The course is lovely and well sign posted, I only managed to get lost once!
